Decentralization and regionalization

The process of decentralization started in Romania some years ago, but implementation of these regulations are often cumbersome and inefficient. In our opinion legal regulations on decentralization have hidden possibilities that may extend the action radius of local and regional administrations.

The main goal of the Bálványos Institute is to conduct research on decentralization and to discover and analyze points of intervention and to create opportunities for a better functioning public administration.
